St. Andrew Corsini

Also known as the Apostle of Florence; Andres Corsino
Feast Day - February 4th

Following a wild and misspent youth, Andrew became a Carmelite at Florence. Studied at Paris and Avignon, France. Prior. Provincial of Tuscany in 1348. Bishop of Fiesole on October 13, 1349. Had the gift of prophecy and was a miracle worker. Noted peacemaker between quarreling Italian houses.

Canonized - April 29, 1629 by Pope Urban VIII
